Argentina Frogskin Camouflage is one of the earliest camouflage patterns adopted by the Argentine military. Inspired by the U.S. M1942 Frogskin pattern of World War II, the Argentine version was modified to suit South America's varied landscapes. It became a distinctive pattern used by the Argentine Armed Forces for training, field exercises, and operational duties during the mid-20th century.

History

Argentina began experimenting with camouflage uniforms during and after the Second World War as military forces around the world recognized the advantages of disruptive concealment. Drawing inspiration from the American M1942 Frogskin design, Argentina produced its own version using colors better suited to local terrain.

Unlike the reversible U.S. Frogskin pattern, which had separate jungle and beach sides, the Argentine version was generally produced as a single-sided woodland pattern intended for year-round field use.
